So… Ian seems like the type of person who hates the unexplainable, HATES any sudden change of routine, and must plan before being comfortable doing something. With that in mind, having the spirit stuff explained, having a second to get used to it, and knowing he doesn’t need a plan because there’s a whole organization making them would change things. Trevor being an added bonus of the territory also probably helps too
