First of all… paper is often used for spells, and it’s not like there are many other reasons you’d turn a man into a paper mummy.
Secondly, the map is definitely going to be plot relevant. There are locations mark
Next, he has either a black eye or lags under his eyes despite having likely been sleeping for a while
Yes, the map does matter for sure! Maybe the crosses signify addresses of other magically gifted people in the area? 🤔
And it does not look at all like that man has put himself in that position – somebody else has to be around, likely dangerous…
Sadly, I don’t know how to reply yet (if someone could let me know for future reference, I’d be very grateful), but to Alive?’s reply to me, I want to say: maybe…. but from the map, those don’t look like areas with houses, based on where the roads are. It could be locations people like the paper mummy here were abducted from? But that feels too police-like. Unless… this map is tracking what the police know about it, for some reason? I doubt it, but that’s a possibility. Another is that these mark places spirits tend to gather, or somw other magic stuff that may or may not connect to the ritual being preformed here or other creepy goals yet to be revealed. Idk, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see
