Yeah… please don’t celebrate that. That’s the last thing you should celebrate: and that’s coming from a girl with Mexican heritage, which includes the Spaniards that colonized the land and did so, so many horrible things. You can still be proud to be Spanish, yes, but not of THAT. Oh, also, the rest of my family is from the Southern US. I’d probably find some slavers if I traced my ancestry back. So… yeah, don’t EVER celebrate that side of things. State pride? 100% okay! Pride in your country, and your ancestors’ country? Yes, absolutely! That? HELL NO!!
