The Pretzel 02

Some fancy wall jumping going on there.

For those of you that know my work from literally anywhere else, you know that I don’t usually ink my drawings. I use those lasso and fill tools like nobody’s business. I did a little bit of digital inking with the First Meetings comics, but with this comic I went in knowing I wanted to make it into a book, so I had a different mindset. And y’all, people that can ink well are magic, because that shit is hard.

I mean, I purposefully went very simple with the designs here, but I had to approach every page in a completely different way than I would Scarred for Life. What I’m saying is, mad props to basically every comic artist that isn’t me.

  1. Dude, can I just say that from the newest page to now shows some INSANE improvement. I didn’t read the new page, since I just picked this comic up, but like at a glance to avoid spoilers… daaaaang! Sorry, I guess as an artist myself it’s hard not to get excited over. You’ve improved soo much aahhhhhh! Keep it up!

    1. Thank you so much! That’s really lovely to hear.

  2. Oh, wait sorry. When I say dude I mean it gender-neutrally. I read the about section to avoid this very thing… ugh. I know you use they/them. It’s second nature at this point. I, as a female (and a very “feminine” one at that: I almost only wear dresses, and I’ll admit I like quite a few stereotypically girly things), answer to it, and I say it to women, men, and everyone else. I can’t change the comment, but it’s still right to clarify and apologize for

    1. Haha no worries, I also use dude as a gender neutral term.
